FAQ
-
Do you own the farms listed?
MAVCOFFEE is a family owned business (Dad, daughter and son), La Pacaya, Valle de oro and San Antonio are all owned by members of our family. So while MAVCOFFEE itself doesn’t own the farms, the three members that make up the company do own them.
-
Can you source a coffee not listed on the site?
Of course! we’re lucky to work really closely with Lean Coffee Management (our agronomist team) and they manage quite a few other great farms that aren’t part of the MAVCOFFEE family. If one of these farms have what you want we can hook you up and help with the exports.
-
What is your minimum order?
We don’t really have a minimum order quantity, we’ll happily ship any amount anywhere in the planet as long as you’re satisfied with the shipping quote provided prior to shipment. We try to consolidate shipments when possible and work with our partners to find a reasonable shipping quote, this is easier to do with pre-sales and orders made during the harvest and shipping seasons.
-
Do you do farm visits?
Absolutely! We highly encourage farm visits for you to see our work first hand. We do require at two day’s notice before any visits, but if you’re in town and time is pressing contact us and we’ll try to accommodate a visit as soon as possible.
-
Do your farms have certifications?
Currently not but we’re not closed to them. We’d love to hear from you on this subject if there’s a certification you prefer.
-
Are your coffees organic?
Strictly speaking no, we do use fertilizers on our coffees to assure production and quality using satellites to use the amount needed to maintain the optimal soil and plant nutrient levels. We don’t use herbicides and insecticides in our farms.
